Our chapter is comprised of passionate hunters, conservationists, and community members who believe in the responsible stewardship of wildlife. We work with local, national, and international partners to:



  • Promote wildlife conservation: Through science-based management, we ensure that wildlife populations remain healthy and thriving.
  • Advocate for hunting rights: We fight for the rights of hunters, safeguarding the freedoms that allow us to responsibly engage with nature.
  • Educate the public: We offer educational programs to foster a deeper understanding of the positive role hunters play in wildlife conservation.


What We Do:
 

1. Conservation Efforts

 

The SCI Gunnison Chapter actively supports initiatives that conserve wildlife and habitat. We fund projects aimed at preserving Colorado's natural ecosystems, helping local species thrive in their natural environments. Through our efforts, we demonstrate that hunters are essential partners in the conservation of our planet’s precious resources.


2. Hunting Advocacy

 

Our chapter works tirelessly to ensure that hunters’ voices are heard in legislative and policy discussions. We are at the forefront of advocating for regulations that protect hunting as both a sport and a key component of wildlife management. Whether it’s defending hunting rights or promoting ethical hunting practices, we stand firm for hunters across Colorado.


3. Community Engagement & Education

 

We believe in fostering a deeper connection between our community and the outdoors. Through youth programs, educational workshops, and outreach events, we teach the importance of wildlife conservation and responsible hunting practices.
